Meditation: How to Meditate
Let the miracle happen!! Posture:
1. Sit with back straight, in a chair, legs not crossed. Use a shall or blanket if you like, especially if you get chilled when sitting.
2. It is best NOT to meditate in bed as it is to easy to just fall asleep
Process:
First create a ritual to be your process.
For now you can use the following:
1. Go to special place and ground
2. Light a candle and set the intention to meditate as you do so
3. Sit in posture and take two deep breaths, slowly
4. Say a prayer to set intention (I wish my mind to be quiet the next 20 minutes)
5. Enter a sacred space mentally
6. Notice the in-breath
7. Notice the exhale
8. After 20 minutes - very slowly come back into the room
9. Re ground
Ending the Meditation:
If you come back too quickly or do not ground afterwards you will get a headache and be cranky. Give yourself time and space.
Meditation is about slowing down - not going to sleep; mentally you will be in a heightened state of awareness.
